CAPTAIN ENOS
Official designation: Captain/27/Enos/Exploratory. The biomechanoid captain of the Terran Protectorate probe ship, the Mighty Fortress. The field-test model for a new line of androids intended to mimic human thought and reactions more closely. His mission: To study the Fremdel event horizon in the vicinity of the Bledraun system. He uncovers the first evidence that the deadly Quishiks have broken through from the other side of the Fremdel.
Once the Quishiks begin a new reign of murderous terror, he develops a Doomsday weapon to stop them. However, because the weapon would exact an horrific death toll across wide regions of space-time, he’s reluctant to implement it.
